Cats in Charge — Terms of Service

Effective date: October 7, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and AshStart Inc. (“we”, “us”) about Cats in Charge (the “Game”). By tapping Agree & Start or playing the Game, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t play.

1. Who can play

You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and is responsible for your purchases.

2. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and play the Game for non-commercial entertainment. We (and our licensors) own the Game, including its characters, art, music, code, and names. Everything not expressly licensed to you is reserved.

3. Your account

The Game creates an anonymous account for you and backs up your progress automatically. To keep your progress safe across devices, sign in with Game Center or Google Play Games, or use a transfer code — keep access to that platform account or code, because it is how we know the progress is yours. If you delete the Game without either, progress that was never backed up may be lost. You may delete your account anytime in Settings → Account.

4. Catnip and other in-game items

• Catnip, cats, heroes, research, and other in-game items are part of your license. They have no real-world money value, can’t be exchanged for money, and can’t be sold or transferred outside the Game.
• You can buy some items with real money through the App Store or Google Play. Purchases are final except where the store’s refund policy or the law says otherwise. If the store refunds a purchase, we may remove the item or the Catnip it gave you.
• If you reinstall or change devices, use Restore purchases in Settings to get back permanent purchases such as Remove Ads.
• We may change, rebalance, or remove in-game items to keep the Game fair and fun. We will not remove something you paid real money for without a reasonable replacement or as the law requires.

5. Ads

The Game is free and shows ads. Rewarded ads give in-game rewards only when you choose to watch them. Remove Ads removes interstitial ads; rewarded ads stay available.

6. Play fair

Don’t:

• cheat, use bots, modified clients, or exploits; change your device clock to skip timers;
• copy, reverse engineer, or resell the Game or its content;
• interfere with the Game’s servers or other players;
• use the Game for anything illegal.

If you break these rules, we may reset progress gained unfairly or suspend access.

7. Updates and availability

We may update, change, or stop parts of the Game (for example, events, stages, or balance). Some features need an internet connection or the latest version. We try to keep the Game running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever shut the Game down, we will give reasonable notice in the Game.

8. Your feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Ending these Terms

You can stop anytime by deleting the Game and your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) continue after termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can’t be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of in-game items, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim or USD 50. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law (for example, for gross negligence or intentional misconduct where applicable).

12. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly.

13. Apple-specific terms

If you got the Game from the App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to support or maintain the Game; for any failure of the Game to meet a warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the Game; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. We’ll change the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the Game. If you keep playing after the change, you accept the new Terms.
